Funmi Falobi

Coordinator/Team Lead

Funmi Falobi (ANIPR) is a development journalist, social development/gender advocate, researcher and Journalism/media trainer. As an agent of inclusive development, she is passionate about fostering cross-cutting social development advocacy especially to advance the cause of children, women and youths. Her interest is in promoting development agenda, through print, broadcast and online platforms, as well as through speaking engagements in training programmes/conferences to advance human development initiatives for social impact and sustainable development, especially as affecting children, young adults and girls/women, including promoting sustainable development initiatives for the good of the society and humanity in general. Beyond her role as Coordinator of ISISD, Falobi who has both BSc and MSc from the University of Lagos serves as Editor, Social Development news (SDN) @ www.sdnonline.net including being an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, as well as Member, female researchers cohort of the Association of Communication Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria (ACSPN), among other work/career engagement. She is also the Nigeria Representative and West Africa Ambassador, World Day of the Boy Child (WDBC). As Coordinator of ISISD, she leads the team in the implementation of all activity tasks.

Tope Ojo-Sulaiman

Special Programme Assistant

Temitope Ojo-Sulaiman is a teens teacher, and media professional with over 20 years journalism experience. With a heart of care and service to engender development, she has to her credit, several independent freewill initiatives to ameliorate poverty conditions, especially as affecting women and girls. She is passionate about teens and youth development, and is a willing ally in advancing inclusive development agenda across board. She has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Delta State University and has a robust journalism career transcending diverse reportorial and editorial position covering health, fashion & style, investigations, development and entertainment across the defunct Comet Newspaper, as well as working in Daily Independent, and The Sun Newspapers. She was also the former Woman Editor of the NICHE Newspaper, Lagos. She now writes for Allure (Vanguard), a colourful magazine pull-out in the Sunday Vanguard. She belongs to a number of service-based and professional-based Associations including the Nigerian Association of women Journalists (NAWOJ), among others.

Kehinde Oyesomi

Special Programme Support

Kehinde Oyesomi, is passionate and energetic in matters of women and children, and community development service. She holds BSc and MSc degrees in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos and PhD in Mass Communication from Covenant University. She also obtained a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from North-West University, South Africa. Dr. Kehinde Oyesomi, who is Head of Department (HOD), Mass Communication, Covenant University (the first female HOD of the Department) has over 15 years working experience spanning journalism, corporate communications and teaching. She has written several research papers and a recipient of grant awards through which she has traversed wider terrains in different but related fields of media and gender, development communication, Journalism and Public Relations. Oyesomi is a member of several International Associations and a reviewer and editorial board member for several local and international journals. She has also published in several local and international high impact journals and she is currently the Founder/Editor- in- Chief, Cooperative World, a magazine publication of Covenant University Cooperative Society.

Femi Owopetu

Programme Assistant 1

Ebullient and vibrant Jesufemi Owopetu, who is a self-driven and passionate volunteer for ISISD activities, provides programmatic support and assistance for the school outreach and the teen/youth capacity development and peer learning forums of ISISD. Beyond his desire and interest in volunteering and peer education activities, Femi's interest also straddles social development work especially as relating to public health issues and associated subject of building and advancing rights-based issues of social development concerns. Apart from volunteering in undertaking NGO initiatives, he is also multi-skilled and multi-talented as a digital design creator, organist of classical hymns, and undertaking mechanical works. With a disposition to learning and improving his communication skills, his hobbies includes playing hymns and book-reading.

Olumide Bello

Programme Assistant 2 (Volunteer)

Olumide Bello is a dynamic and multi-talented community organiser. Drawing from years of experience in a number of self-sustaining and self-driven efforts in vocational enterprise and ventures, he has a wide range of cross-cutting skills and capacity in logistics and programme organisation. Though a husband and father, Olumide brings on board a youthful burst of energy in providing strategic support for the implementation of social development activities, especially in galvanising youths and mobilising community actors to contribute to the development of their communities. Beyond his interest in youth development/empowerment programmes, community development and being a volunteer supporter in the implementation of NGO/social development projects, Olumide is also skilled and has a strong passion for artistic ventures, particularly music and creative works (painting, cartoon/image sketching and still/real life drawing).

Blessing Oladunjoye

Project Assistant

Blessing Oladunjoye, a multi-skilled, award winning journalist and publisher of BONews Service with a research and evaluation background in disability inclusion, gender and education, gladly commits her skills in being part of the ISISD team to advance issues of concern to vulnerable groups; People With Disabilities (PWDs), Women and Youths. As Project Assistant to ISISD, she brings on board, expert knowledge in project design, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and report writing. Her understanding of the disability community has helped in the actualization of policies for the welfare and rights of the disability community. She has been part independent projects funded by FCDO, USAID, WRA, UAF-Africa. Within the operational structure of ISISD, she commits her expertise to advancing development concerns of the disability community, especially to engender respective concerns in the areas Health, Water, Sanitation &Hygiene (WASH), Education and access to social amenities, among others.
