Team members of ISISD are glad to be involved and part of the #EndMisogynyNG initiative. #EndMisogynyNG is an off-shoot of a project entitled, ‘Countering misogyny and online gender-based violence through monitoring, digital counter-narratives and advocacy actions’ implemented by Journalists For Christ (JFC) Nigeria in collaboration with the World Association for Christian Communications, Africa Region (WACC-AR), with the support of WACC Global and Bread for The World – German Protestant Agency for Diaconia and Development.
The overarching goal of the project, which aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 5 is to “achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls” within the context of ‘enhancing the communications rights of women, promoting gender equality and combating gender-based violence, especially in Nigeria’s digital media sphere.’
The project, which JFC Nigeria is implementing (with ISISD team members as part of the implementation team) in its novelty, aligns with ISISD's goal and related social impact concerns, cross-cutting issues of gender inequalities and engendering social impact and sustainable development agenda to advance the cause of girls/women’s rights, and curb associated issues of gender discrimination, etc.
